Queensland Museum, in partnership with QGC, wishes to recognise students who have excelled in the fields of science, technology, engineering or maths (STEM) with a STEM award as part of the Future Makers program. As part of National Science Week celebrations, winning students from within the Future Makers Pilot Schools program will be awarded with a suite of STEM prizes. Teachers can nominate up to three students from Years 7 to 9 from their school who have made an outstanding achievement in science, or who have demonstrated a clear understanding and application of STEM. Teachers must provide an explanation of their student nominations in under 200 words (per student).
The Future Makers STEM award is only available to students from within the Future Makers Pilot Schools program in 2017. Nominations close midnight, Sunday 20 August 2017, at the conclusion of National Science Week celebrations. This award is teacher initiated and will be judged by the Future Makers panel, with winners announced by the end of August and prizes awarded during Term 4.
