Creative Lab is a teacher professional development program supported by Future Makers, the world-leading STEM engagement partnership between QGC and Queensland Museum Network. During workshops, Queensland Museum and industry experts guide teachers through small groups designed to develop the skills and confidence required to deliver innovative and engaging STEM activities in the classroom.
The Future Makers Creative Lab series is unlike other professional development programs, giving teachers access to Queensland Museum resources such as treasures, exhibitions and STEM experts that all relate directly back to the Australian school curriculum. All workshops are designed to strengthen pedagogy within the classroom and are suitable for a range of experience levels.
This program is designed to increase your confidence in teaching STEM to help increase your students’ participation and performance in STEM subjects, and encourage you to explore creative solutions to everyday problems. The Future Makers partnership aims to increase the participation and performance of young Australians in STEM-related subjects and careers, improve attitudes towards and deepen the appreciation of the enormous value of STEM among students, teachers and communities.
